Since opening in 1950 on Election Day, Junior’s has been a beloved New York institution, famous for serving what many call the world’s most fabulous cheesecake. Founder Harry Rosen and Master Baker Eigel Petersen perfected the original recipe through meticulous testing, using only the finest ingredients—premium cream cheese, fresh cream, eggs, and pure vanilla—mixed by hand in small batches.

Today, Junior’s still makes its cheesecake the same way, without fillers or shortcuts, and topped with only the freshest fruits, chocolates, and spices. Located in downtown Brooklyn, Junior’s quickly became a community favourite, staying strong even as other landmarks closed. Now run by the third generation of the Rosen family, Junior’s continues to be a unifying stop for locals and tourists alike.
